Yesterday my sister and her family left after spending 5 days with us here in St. Louis. They left cooler weather in Grand Rapids, MI only to be pummeled by our heat and humidity. Our niece Mia is growing so fast and is one of the cutest little girls in the world (I'm not biased or anything ;)). She immediately fell in love with our dog, Che and even got a chance to play with Shoga and Alley on Father's Day (Michael and Erin's dogs). Che didn't quite know what to do with Mia's rambunctious toddler personality at times, but it was really good practice for him. Will will be pulling on his tail before we know it!
Mia is talking (or babbling, rather) up a storm and one of the cutest things she says over and over is the word 'tuba' in a chant-songlike fashion. Her dad must be a band director! We are so happy that Earon and Marc and Mia came to visit us and bless us with gifts and their love on the birth of our son, William. We can't wait for the arrival of their #2 Palma coming in December.

Welcome to my blog! So, I've decided that with all my new free time (ha ha) I should create a blog to keep everybody updated on our lives. William is now 3 weeks old and is getting so big (to us). We have learned tons in the past three weeks! Breastfeeding has become more natural for both Will and I. Our late night soirees are getting much more manageable. He has adopted a 3-4 hour schedule through the night and the night before last he slept for 5 hours! He's also decided to acknowledge that daytime is when you stay awake. The pictures above are from our very first tummy-time session taken yesterday.
